Things have been busy busy over here lately. Little one started crawling & hasn't looked back!
It's like she goes from normal to doing 4 new things all in one week! I'm a little sad that it's all happening so quickly. But each new stage she goes through is more fun than the last. She is growing as God intended so I will not be sad about it!
I should have known it was coming when she started climbing her crib. This will give you a little heart-attack when you switch on the monitor.
BABY FACE
We visited Pops at work. Brynn loved to hit type on the keyboard.
We hit up the grocery store.
*Sidenote*
I have come to enjoy going to the grocery store. We go early in the morning & B smiles {& rolls her eyes} at everyone. We have the best time!
She loves her a chip bag. Somehow she always finds it in the basket.
That's my girl!
A few weeks ago we lowered her crib. She didn't approve.
She likes to hold her bottle with her toes.
hehe!
I put this bucket of toys in her nursery to put away. They were the toys that she never really played with. But as soon as she found them in the corner they became her favorite. We try to spend some time actually playing in the nursery instead of just having her sleep there. {Ignore the bed skirt. Once we lowered the crib they were all outta whack.}
I started letting her feed herself.
Why did I not do this sooner!?
She was scarfing down these pancakes. We haven't done any purred baby food for a few weeks. I'm starting to have some serious anxiety over her going to school. Lame, I know, I'm like down the hall from her. But I don't know what will be done for her & what she will need to do for herself. Again, lame, I know they won't let her starve!
But on a serious note, I have NO idea how she will sleep on a mat on the floor.
Yikes.
That also reminds me, anyone know where I can get a cute nap mat (I've already check out ETSY, I'm looking for somewhere local.)
Then I had another anxiety attack when Ellen told me their doctor recommended they start brushing Elizabeth's teeth. Elizabeth is 2 months younger than Brynn. How did I not know this?! So I might have gone out that next day to buy a tooth brush.
Also, that was the little bit that finally made me decide to get Brynn a new pedi.
She actually likes when we brush her teeth. It's so cute!
Another new trick, this face. She does it ALL the time & it is HILARIOUS! I can't get enough of this crazy girl.
We took 11 month, yes ELEVEN, pictures.
She tried some avacado & had this really weird cowlick for a day.
We spent several Saturdays at Grams & Pops while they built a barn at their new house.
The men worked hard in the heat, we stayed inside & watched HGTV.
I SOO wish I had that channel!
Brynn had a super cute outfit on Sunday. Despite her Daddy saying she was ready for a disco.
And then, 2 Sunday's ago, she started crawling. I ran to Target to get formula. When I came back she was doing this!
We helped Aunt Reagan pick flowers for her bouquet...in matching WRYC shirts.
And surprised Aunt DeAnn!
Then she tried on some accessories.
HA!
Sweet.
Sassy.
Thursday we drove to Abilene to see my cousins & their babies! It was so great to have almost everyone together.
Emmalee Anne.
Brynn was like, "all of these kids are my cousins?!"
Jordan, Ella, & Braeden kept her entertained.
Brynn was checking out Mr. Luke. I guess his fuzzy socks looked yummy because she took both of them off his feet & they went right to her mouth. Sorry Luke!
Jordan was so sweet to Brynn. He let her play with his walkie-talkie. That's special!
All of the Mills "great-grands."
Fast forward to yesterday.
Brynn woke up early Sunday morning with a MAJOR cold. So we stayed home & played all day.
This week we are going to do some shopping & playing in the splash pad since it's so hot!
I've been working on lots of 1st birthday party things & can't wait to celebrate my baby girl!
Also, I've been watching TONS of Friends episodes lately. Yesterday I went thru half of season 5. I could not stop giggling. I know I talk about this show all of the time, but it is ALWAYS funny.
Happy Monday!
MG
haha! That first picture of her starting into the baby monitor would really panic me too if I just turned on the monitor and saw that! At least it's a cute facing staring back at you :)
